- This site is a wiki, which is a collaborative writing environment. The use of wiki technology aims to provide EFL teachers with a place to write collaboratively about English language teaching.
- Almost every Webpage can be edited by anyone who has an account for the wiki, so the quality and quantity of the content can be elevated through time.
- Inspired by Wikipedia, the initiator of this site hopes collaborative writing can gather the up-to-date and valuable thoughts in TESOL area.
- This site needs your constribution. As you put your efforts in it, other teachers may benefit from you and the quality of ELT in Taiwan could be promoted. All you have to do is to create an account, log-in this site, click 'edit,' and start to write!
- You can write on your own or collaborate with other marvelous English teachers. You can initiate a topic/article or amend other people's works on this wiki.
- This site serves as a repository (hopefully), so come here often and get useful information that helps your teaching.
- You can also use Chinese to write if you like.

簡單說明一下本網站的運作情形：本網站的任何頁面，任何人都可以修改，此種網站又叫 wiki (圍紀)，只要有開設本站帳號即可修改，開帳號大約只需一分鐘，且馬上可以使用，按右上角連結用你的帳號登入後，可用 search 尋找頁面、隨便點網頁瀏覽看看、抑或按 Site Map 瀏覽站上所有的文章頁面，遇到想改寫的頁面，就按最上方的 edit 連結，即可開始修改或增加別人的文章。這就有點像故事接龍。但是你可以選擇接在任何地方。
目前首頁上有 幾個 projects ，包含了許多小頁面。如果你要新開一篇文章，可以先放到這些 projects 裏面，新增文章頁面的編輯技巧很簡單，照下面的指示作應該五分鐘內可以熟習，本站有備份機制，所以您不用怕把文章刪掉或弄不見。開新文章有點像是開新的故事一樣。
當然你也可以新開一個個人的 project 在首頁上。關於開新頁面的作法，下面的編輯入門裏的及左邊的 Help 都可以幫你。 Help 裏目前有五個 flash 教學檔，請大家愛看。技術上需要解答或協助時，可以寫問題在這裏來連絡圍紀管理小工. :)
編輯入門：
- 本圍紀為無政府主義 (anarchism) 下的產物，每個參與者都是平等且每個頁面都可以放心編輯。
- 要編寫現存文件請按文件上方之 edit 連結，以開始編輯。
- 要開新文件請於舊文件中加入像下列這種語法： [[新文件名稱]] ，也就是以兩對方括號包住主題名稱之後，舊文件存檔，在舊文件上按新文件連結，再按新文件上方之 edit 連結，以加入內容。另外，新文件連結與舊文件之間請盡量維護語意上的關聯。
- 在單一頁面裏，若想加上往其他網站的連結的話，請加上如下的語法：[http://連結.com 連結說明文字] ，請在連結與連結說明文字之間要保留一個空白鍵。
- 大部分的語法，在您 edit 時，編輯區的上方，會有一排小圖（編輯功能區），其作用就跟 Office Word 或其他文字編輯器所提供的功能很像，您可以反白（選取）所要改的文字區域，再點選小圖，以完成您所想要的版面效果。
- 您也可以直接參考別人已經寫完的語法，再以此類推的話，就很容易為自已的文字加上一些特殊效果如粗體字等，讓內容更為易讀。
- 欲練習在圍紀加入您的文字的話，可以先在圍紀語法測試區作練習，謝謝您的參與。有關於詳細的圍紀編寫及概念哲學請看： Help
- 使用左側之 Site Map 功能，可以翻出所有站上的頁面。
